The Forge is easy to find. We are beside the westbound lanes of the A40, one mile before its end as a dual carriageway in St Clears.

This is the heart of Dylan Thomas country, only 5 minutes away from the county town of Carmarthen, and 10 minutes from historic  Laugharne, Thomas’ last home, and inspiration for ‘Under Milk Wood’.

We are at the gateway to  to South and North Pembrokeshire witth their picturesque bays, countryside and towns. The ferry ports of Fishguard &  Pembroke Dock are 50 & 35 minutes away on a normal driving day. We are a short drive from the sandy beaches of Pendine, Amroth, and Saundersfoot and the seaside resort of Tenby.

Whether you are visiting on holiday or business, you will not find a more central or convenient location for a stay in South West Wales. We are only 30 minutes from Swansea , yet within easy reach of the Pembrokeshire coast National Park, and Wales’ top tourist attraction at Oakwood.

From Iron Grills to Mixed Grills

Founded as a restaurant in an old blacksmith’s shop in 1952, The Forge quickly built a reputation for quality steaks and grills.

Sixty years on our menu and facilities are far more extensive but we are still a byword for quality.

In 2012 popular choices on our varied menu include our homemade pies, curries and fish dishes.

Behind the blacksmith’s shop , in our own extensive grounds,we have built 18 en-suite bedrooms in spacious lodges. Residents have unlimited free use of our leisure suite, with its heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and gymn.
